Cherokee Chapter of Medical Assistants a Cleveland State organization will host the state-wide "Medical Assisting Fall Seminar for the TN Society of Medical Assistants." The seminar will include guest speakers on medically-related topics (administrative and clinical) for CEU credit for Certified Medical Assistants. The State Board will also hold its meeting during the seminar. The seminar is sponsored by the Cherokee Chapter of Medical Assistants.

On April 9, 1992 a time capsule containing artifacts and historical items was buried by the student body to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the college. The time capsule is set to be open on April 10, 2017. The current student body will have a new time capsule to be buried.
